Red Barn Farm Wedding | Megan & Charlie

Oct 6, 2022

Red Barn Farm Wedding Bride and Groom

Weddings

This Red Barn Farm Wedding holds such a dear place in my heart. I first met Megan at Erin & David’s wedding, and a friendship bloomed right away! To this day I can honestly say that I have never been so talked up as by that group of ladies. I knew driving to Red Barn Farm that I would get to see a handful of those women again–so if you’re reading this, ladies, THANK YOU for supporting me with such passion! You are the best!

Elegant Red Barn Farm Vision

I’d love to begin with one of my favorite moments from the wedding day. In the bridal loft of the farm, Megan’s bridesmaids beheld her for the first time, fully prepared as a bride for her groom. In addition to exclamations of joy, one of Megan’s friends commented: “Most people look good on their wedding day… but you look really good.” She was so right! The cut and drape of Megan’s Colby John dress could not have been more fitting. The regal quality of satin is so elegant, and that elegance carried through every detail! From pearl touches on her heels and veil to the coordination of white and green florals integrated throughout the invitation suite and the reception, I have to cheer: well done!

Glorious, Even in the Rain

In addition to great taste, Megan & Charlie possess a far greater quality: peacefulness. Though it is always a disappointment to see rain on a wedding day’s forecast, I instantly knew that this day would not be defined by rain. I brought my backdrop knowing it would allow me to serve these two with stunning portraits during the morning wet hours–and I love the results! Thankfully for husband and wife photos we were able to enjoy the vineyard and green spaces. And my word, Megan, your long veil was a brilliant choice. I could probably write an entire paragraph about all the reasons I loved photographing you two with this veil!

Megan & Charlie,

You two are more like friends to me and I am so grateful that you chose me and entrusted me to photograph your day. I cannot say enough about how kind you are, how much fun your guests had, and what a delight it was to finally see your vision come to life. If your wedding is any indication of how beautiful your marriage will be, keep your heart wide open – it’s going to be an amazing and majestic journey 🙂

I’m also very glad to know (because of your father’s speech, Megan!) that you two will understand any Lord of the Rings reference that I make, so I’ll leave you with a quote from the darkness of Mordor: “There’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for.” May you two always cherish the good in each other – whether seen or hidden – and may you continue to believe that the other’s heart is worth fighting for. This union is a gift to all of us and to both of you!

Joyfully,

Jennifer
