Hey hey! I’m Jennifer, and in this post I’ll share photos and details from Andrea and Zach’s Stout’s Island Lodge Wedding held in Birchwood, Wisconsin.

A Weekend At Camp Kennedy

Gathering everyone together can be tricky, but Andrea and Zach are supreme hostesses and wanted a weekend experience for their friends and family to truly celebrate together and relax! Days leading up to the wedding were filled with campfires, fishing, swimming, and good times. As the culminating event, their wedding day was filled with the delights of a lakeside lawn ceremony and a tented evening reception. The weather threw us all for a crazy loop (even shutting off the power for a few hours in the morning!), and yet Andrea and Zach remained starry eyed and devoted to the true meaning of their marriage.

Arriving on site by ferry, the first touch of Andrea’s handiwork displayed on the boat house is her custom “Camp Kennedy” sign! The way Andrea and her mom poured their hearts into the details for the weekend was truly inspiring. Andrea’s theme of blues and whites brought the joy of spring onto the wooded island. Brittany of Zane Events Co made Andrea’s wedding dreams come true! I love the fun font (in blue!) she chose for her invitations which wove together the elegance and the whimsical. The theme of blue bows was also darling!

Custom Touches & Lake Delights

So many of the details showcased Andrea & Zach’s personality. Party favors included an exclusive “Love Was In the Air” t-shirt, while the reception featured their pup Winnie on the bar sign and on blue scalloped napkins. Andrea also made her wedding sign, which set the tone perfectly with baskets of flowers framing it against the white tent.

Even better than the details were the moments lived and enjoyed. Like Andrea’s near tears reading a letter from her husband – “it’s a poem!” The custom embroidered napkin Andrea made for her mom, the reception speech for her mom that surprised her, and so many more moments all tell the story of these two. They are a couple fiercely in love and eager to share that love with all in their circle.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the romantic boat ride these two took after their ceremony! Sipping champagne and hors devours, Andrea & Zach savored the moment on Red Cedar Lake. It was such a lovely pause in the day.

You are such a blast. Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your Stout’s Island Lodge wedding! I loved seeing your vision come to together, but even more the joyful crew surrounding you who were truly there to party and lift you up! You have such amazing friends and family. May you continually discover the fresh joy of knowing each other more deeply.

Stout’s Island Lodge is an island venue on Red Cedar Lake in Birchwood, Wisconsin. It offers lodging and accommodations for up to 175 guests. Outdoor ceremonies take place on the South Lawn which overlooks the lake, with an outdoor tented reception.
