With a flourish of warm and vibrant fall florals, Katie & Devin designed their Hutton House wedding as a day of joy and ease, treasuring family in the glow of a candlelit reception. This day was a modern dream in mauve, gold tones, and fall pinks.
Mauve & Golden Ceremony Florals with a Vibrant Twist
Katie & Devin chose Studio Fleurette and Great Day Events to bring their autumnal vision to life, and the result was stunning. The clean lines of the Hutton House gave a modern and organic feel to the ceremony. With November’s light fading early in the evening, guests entered to find their seats just as golden light began to spill through the Fireside Room windows. Florals adorned the ceremony mantle designating the altar area with two golden florals stands framing the entrance of the aisle. Hydrangeas, ranunculus, dahlia, scabiosa, phlox, and lisianthus paired with golden branches to create an organic feel.
To set the mood, Tyrone Marcell provided live violin music before the ceremony. As he began the processional, the light softened even more outside into the buttery glow of sunset. Katie descended the staircase adorned with greenery and florals, leaning on her father’s arm as smiles filled the room. Devin’s look of pure joy reflected on every face. From officiant to every reader, each voice at the altar expressed a deep sense of contentment and happiness. As the ceremony ended, guests cheered as if their favorite sports team had just won!
A Candlelit Reception filled with Stories
In November, the sun sets early! Katie & Devin made the most of their evening with a stunning reception design in the Lakeside Room. The golden ceiling chandeliers Katie & Devin elected for an elongated head table with golden pillars bright with blooms. Ivory candles and golden tones paired with pink napkins, accenting the blush and mauve tones of the florals.
In this relaxed atmosphere, guests were laughing to the toasts and speeches of family. The couple brought in two bundt cakes to celebrate two birthdays of guests– complete with candles! Dining in the excellent taste of Crave catering, the evening was certainly one to remember.
Letter to the Couple
Katie & Devin,
From the first moments of your engagement session, it became clear that you both live with such clarity of purpose. Your intention is also paired with a genuine love for a good time. I have never cried at a wedding before, but I can now say I’ve cried – from laughter! I love how your fun and easygoing personalities allowed you to relish in your day, and the way you crafted your timeline to include so many family photos! Watching your first dance as you sang to each other, it is so evident that you truly enjoy having fun together. You are such a sweet pair and I am forever thankful for the privilege of getting to be your wedding photographer.
With Love,
Jennifer
