As I stepped out of the sidewalk into Aria, florists were arranging delicate blossoms on archways. The openness and the urban character of Aria is certainly striking in itself, but how beautiful to adorn it with real flowers, and to bring the countryside into the industrial sphere! Truly, I was amazed at the work those florists were doing! Sometimes in the wedding industry people become jaded against the high cost of wedding decor, venues, and gowns. And sometimes brides and grooms can be caught up in the whirlwind of creating their perfect day and lose sight of the most import asset they carry: their relationship. But none of these concerns applied to Ellen and Zach. Their day was so delightfully gorgeous and well planned (thanks to Kastina!) – but they remained above all so connected on their day. They constantly checked in with each other and smiled.
My Favorite Aria Summer Wedding Moment
My favorite moment from this wedding was when the bride opened a gift from the groom before the ceremony. Throughout the day the groom smiled so much as if to say, “I can’t believe she will be mine!” and this moment was the cherry on top. Ellen opened the gift: a gorgeous bound copy of the gospel of Matthew with a gorgeous golden design on the cover. It was an enduring momento of the faith these two share in the Lord Jesus, and it was such a privilege to see that on wedding day, this book was the ultimate gift. There was also a beautiful necklace with the book – what a groom!
Ellen & Zach,
Thank you so much for honoring me with shooting with Toni to capture your day. Your Aria summer wedding was so exquisite! I cannot wait to see how you grow in your marriage. Your families are absolutely well matched – and hilarious!
Joyfully,
Jennifer
