Elegant Owatonna Fairgrounds October Wedding

What a joy to share this Owatonna Fairgrounds wedding with you today! I’ll begin my story with entering the venue. I pulled into the Owatonna Foundation Building still praying for sunshine. The chill and misty damp just wasn’t what I wanted for a bride on her wedding day! (Seriously, Minnesota – it was just the first few days of October!) The first look needed to be scouted and there was no sign of a letup in the clouds. As soon as I had the groom placed and ready to go, the bride exited the covering of her warm car. Seeing these two witness each other’s full regalia for the first time, one thing became very clear to me: ain’t nobody could rain on Marlena & Daulton’s parade.

Daulton beamed as his eyes fell on his bride. Marlena’s eyes spoke without words. The day was theirs to enjoy, and while of course warmer weather would have been nice, it could not steal the joy of wedding plans. If you don’t believe me, seek footage of the most epic first dance I’ve ever seen! From the intricate decor to the intentional decisions to make guests feel welcome and at ease, Marlena & Daulton designed their wedding day to be a true celebration. A true dance party, and elegance to top it all off!

You are the life of the party. Your Owatonna fairgrounds wedding was so you– spunky, elegant, and free. Thank you so much for trusting me on your wedding day – I am truly sorry for bringing you out into the chill! (But I’m not sorry for how majestic and striking you look!)
