Today’s spring wedding inspiration comes from an stunning styled shoot at Brighton Abbey in Texas! Let me begin by saying: I’m thrilled to share some spring visual poetry with you. Traveling to Brighton Abbey was what dreams are made of. Truly. I mean, how can you not love 70 degree weather (when it’s winter at home)? A stunning vendor team pulling out all the stops? And an escape from Minnesota winter? As a Minnesota photographer I just loved feeling the sun on my face and seeing the blooms so early in the year. (Even grocery stores were filled with local flowers!)

Spring Bridal Inspiration: Pops of Pink & Golden Tones

The honey and pink tones of the color palette brought out the amazing freshness of March in Texas. Flux floral wove the colorful texture of flowers into everything from the escort table to the reception table. I loved how the golden roses tied in with golden pears and figs to bring a full spectrum of textures to the tablescape. In like manner, the cake even received a kiss of florals. I truly think the styling team did such a great job highlighting this year’s wedding trends – which definitely includes bows! Since the florals highlighted the spring season, the blush tones shone. Furthermore, the Lea Ann Belter dress looked show stopping – especially next to a cream vintage car!

Elegant & Refined Touches

In conclusion, I describe the feeling of this wedding as romantic, elegant, and timeless. Together with the venue’s architectural elements such as a grand staircase and turrets, Brighton Abbey elevated the Texas location to seem as though a European castle. Also, the stonework of the exterior of Brighton Abbey lent to a destination wedding feeling– I truly felt transported as I photographed! Equally refined, the ceremony chapel space featured such a calm color palette that the bride truly stands out amid the ceiling arches.
