One of my favorite local locations is Carleton’s Cowling Arboretum – for every season, the grounds have a unique personality! I’m so happy to share with you Nhung & Nick’s engagement session in the grassy meadow & Carleton’s Skinner Memorial Chapel!
Our First Stop: Cowling Arboretum
The first thing I noticed about these two is how down to earth and easy they are to hang out with! Due to COVID-19, my consultation with this duo happened over zoom…so you can imagine my excitement to meet them in PERSON! (Spoiler alert: this was the second time meeting in person. On my family’s bike to church, there they were! Walking the same sidewalk and I chugged along, 32 weeks pregnant and towing my almost 2 year old in a bike trailer!). Getting to meet face to face, I grew even more thankful that I get to serve amazing couples like these two. Even the wind and drizzle couldn’t dampen our spirits!
Ten Weeks to I Do
One of my favorite parts about offering engagement sessions is giving my couple space to stop and really just enjoy this season of their lives. Gathering vendors for your wedding day is no simple task, and to top if off, Nhung is finishing optometry school! I love fanning the flame of excitement that rises inside as my couple realizes… we are getting married! The calm joy inside these two emanate through their smiles. And why not? In just 10 weeks they will be MARRIED! I truly cannot get over the gorgeous setting of Nhung’s ring! (Way to go, Nick!!) You two look so elegant on the steps of the chapel!
Nhung & Nick,
I’m counting down the weeks until I get to see you again in matrimonial glory! Thank you for being who you are, and bringing laughter to my life. I’m so glad your family lives in Northfield so I could bump into you two and shoot your engagement session here!
Joyfully,
