I absolutely couldn’t wait to photograph another wedding at Shattuck St. Mary’s when I met Melissa and Clark last year. Right before their engagement session, Noah and I found out that we were pregnant and due June 5th – just seven days before Melissa & Clark’s wedding date!! I was so absolutely bummed that I wouldn’t be able to be the one to capture their day. This amazing couple chose to work with an associate photographer and for me to edit their photos. Melissa & Clark, thank you for the joy of getting to serve you!

Fear of Missing Out

As I sifted through the images given to me by my associate and second photographer, I felt such a rush of wishing, “oh! If I’d only been there that day!” The white reception tent, live band, and epic personalities sung in each photo. God couldn’t have planned the timing of our little girl’s arrival any better because the wedding ended just 32 hours before she was born! This means that I had enough time to share favorite photos in a sneak peek on social media–just enough time! It is with great joy that I now share this Shattuck St. Mary’s wedding in a fuller way on this post! Ravenna is 9 days old and sleeping next to me as I write 🙂

One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is when one or both of my couple doesn’t desire the spotlight. It is my delight to capture and showcase the beauty of the real and to make people feel so comfortable in front of the camera! I am so proud of you, Melissa – you were stunning and all of your wedding details graced that presence. Clark’s dapper tux and the deep colors of your bridesmaids dresses blended together so beautifully.
