This Faribault ranch wedding is so special to me for so many reasons! It all began even before Mia & Peter began dating, when I began (secretly) to root for them to get married one day. As a family friend to both families, I can say that my joy is absolutely complete to see them united by this marriage! Years ago I photographed Mia’s high school senior session and then Peter’s senior session. One specific moment from Peter’s senior session stayed with me even to this day – their story is so precious, and it was absolutely my dream job to get to photograph THEIR WEDDING DAY!

Faribault Ranch Wedding Dream

Mia and Peter choose a beautiful sunset palette for their day, and while the sunset colors of the sky came one day early (for the rehearsal dinner!), the weather was still gorgeous for photos. Redemption Ranch transformed into a beautiful wedding venue by the loving hands of family and friends. Seriously, wow. As I left that night I couldn’t stop smiling thinking of how many people had come together to celebrate the goodness of God in Mia & Peter starting a family together. Such a breathtaking ceremony space!

My favorite part about being Mia & Peter’s photographer was feeling welcomed into their inner circle. From the attendants to the bridesmaids to the grandparents, I was given such love! (I mean, Mia, your grandfather offered me his coat before your ceremony! Such kindness.) Mia’s friend and attendant Hannah helped us with her veil and bouquet after the ceremony and I realized she was crying happy tears at the sight of the couple… oh man, I tell you this blog post is a mere highlight of the full gallery! Capturing Mia & Peter’s goofy poses was also a highlight 🙂

Thank you so much for letting me be there for you on wedding day. Mia, you truly blew me away with your organization, your sincerity, and of course, that Mia smile! Peter, thank you for selecting such fun groomsmen, for always being up for more photos, and for loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. Both of you made one of my dreams come true, and I am forever thankful! May your family be filled with joy, wisdom, and God’s love always.
