Mendakota Country Club Wedding

What a truly gorgeous day it was for a Mendakota Country Club Wedding! Megan’s bridesmaids made the gentle sage tones of spring right at home on this sunny day. The sun shinning in all its strength felt like a true nod to the story of Megan & Karl’s friendship, which began in the midst of dashed hopes. Listening to speeches, it was many times over recollected how Megan had to navigate her collegiate swim career after her school had cut the program. The University of Connecticut became the launch site of Megan’s future as she competed alongside a man who would later become her husband. Hearing Megan’s dad tell the story of his daughter’s pursuits felt like watching the best part of a movie: because you know the ending is so sweet!

The stunning design of Megan & Karl’s wedding have me so pumped to share with you all! I am a complete sucker for elegant and editorial text on invitations. I loved seeing the addition of a Song Request card (like, why isn’t every couple doing this?!) as well as the provision of an actual menu card in their invitation. It just gets you even more excited to attend a wedding when you know the meal will be exquisite. I could go on about how much Megan’s shoes were a total show-stopper (because I also have a weakness for beautiful shoes), and her stunning heirloom emerald ring, but I think this bridal collection speaks for itself. Well done, Megan & Karl!

Ever since your engagement session I knew I would have such a fantastic time being with you for a whole day. Megan, you are so kind and thoughtful. Karl, you are steady and obliging. And then in your instagram story you called me a friend and well… I’m just a super fan now. Thank you so much for the honor of seating me with your UCONN swim family – I am so thankful that you trusted me to be with close friends! May your entrance into marriage be filled with grace for each other and joy in growing deeper together.
