Oh how I looked forward to this day with Jessie & Cam! At their engagement session we hit it off and I couldn’t help saying how cute these two are together! I knew that seeing their two surrounded by their family and friends on wedding day wouldn’t disappoint, because I saw the genuine joy they carried. Jessie chose a simple & elegant look for her wedding. White florals, pearls, and draping paired with clean & elegant black text in wedding invitations and signage. So classic!
The Moment She Overwhelmed her Groom
One of my favorite parts of the day includes the way that Jessie absolutely overwhelmed Cam during their first look. You see, Cam had crushed on Jessie since the first time they met in middle school – when he was a 6th grader! What an honor to see the expression of a groom behold the love of his life as a bride for the first time! Jessie was absolutely breathtaking and radiant. Where there had been an exciting nervousness building up, now, after seeing him, her smile couldn’t be stopped. (To know Jessie is to see much of that gorgeous smile at all times!) As these two read to each other, speaking to the growth and the joy of watching each other grow up, first as friends and later as a couple, neither eye was dry.
The photo of Jessie catching her tear during this moment is one of my all time favorite images I’ve ever shot. So real. They were just so excited that their wedding day had finally come! So thankful to behold each other in that moment. As the cup of gratitude spilled over, the reality of the day set fully in.
Serenity Hills Wedding – Taking Advantage of Sunset
Second to my favorite moment of the first look is the many wedding party photos Jessie & Cam asked for! I highly recommend their style of outfitting the groomsmen with sunglasses and the bridesmaids with heart eye sunglasses! This crew was truly a portable PARTY! Jessie had also designed ribbons for the champagne glasses at the head table, and I loved capturing these in the sunset glow!
While it can’t be ordered on wedding day, when the sunset is on display I will always recommend my couples to take a quick break from the reception in order to use the final rosy light. Oh how I love these images of Jess & Cam!
Letter to the Couple
Jessie & Cam,
You two know exactly how to richly bless each other. It was such an honor to see the ways that you truly relished your wedding day and cherished every moment! Watching you care for your guests, laugh at the speeches of your favorite people, and truly enjoy the fun of throwing a massive party, was just the best! All my blessings to your marriage! I hope these blog images allow you to revel again in the special joys of the day!
Sincerely,
Jennifer
