“Today is the best day of our lives… SO FAR!!” Ryan addressed the reception room full of guests. “We always say so far because we know our best days are aheads of us!” Heather & Ryan’s day was bursting with the genuine joy of family & friends so excited to see these two tie the knot! Heather put on her stunning Rebecca Ingram dress surrounded by her besties. The home was filled with so much laughter!

Navy & White Wedding Colors

Speaking of the home, one of the things I admire about Heather’s family is the shining patriotism and love for red, white, and blue! Heather & Ryan’s details all featured navy and white, with a gentle blue as an accent (and as the bridesmaid’s dress color!). Watching Heather’s family lift her up on her wedding day was such an honor. I couldn’t help but use some of my vintage American stamps! The floral inspiration by Artemisia Studio enhanced the classic look with white ranunculus, snapdragons, roses and just a touch of indigo delphinium.

Mendakota Country Club Grounds

Heather & Ryan’s wedding day included a gorgeous sunset glow! The grounds of Mendakota Country Club offered a variety of lovely spots for portraits, especially the pond and fountain. What I most loved capturing on this day was the genuine JOY that Ryan & Heather shared with everyone. Ryan’s comedic interludes during portraits are definitely going in the gallery (and I cannot believe we got that epic moment of his tie blowing in the wind!) Ryan’s smooth moves made their way into the blog as you will see!

Letter to the Couple

Heather & Ryan,

Do not ever stop celebrating the simple joys of life together. You are delightfully balanced in the ways that you adventure and also cherish hearth & home. Your friends and family love you! The Lord rejoices in your marriage – the two have become one! Know that every challenge you face moving forward, you do not walk alone. Remember that reception room filled to the brim … think of it as a crowd cheering you on in your marriage. I cannot say enough times what a wonderful time I had – you trusted me with so much. You’ve welcomed me into your family as more than a photographer and I treasure that. I am so thankful you found me! May the rose colored glasses be a joy to wear, as you choose daily to see each other through God’s love. You are an amazing couple!!
