In the luscious landscape of the golf course, guests gathered for this Stonebrooke wedding to witness the vows of Jayda & Ben. From the amazing humor of Ben and his groomsmen to the engaging storytelling of the speeches, this day was truly a case study in how to thoroughly enjoy your wedding day.

Summer Florals & Bright Design

I simply must begin with the colorful florals Jayda & Ben selected. You cannot see them without feeling a giddy sense of happiness! Sunset orange dahlias, pink ranunculus, fluffy peonies and happy zinnias somehow personify the way that these two delight in the joys of life together. The bridesmaids wore Kennedy Blue dresses in the color cinnamon rose – a perfect accent!

In readiness for the ceremony, golf carts ferried guests to Par 13, the ceremony site. A circle arch framed the altar as happy exclamations rang out. Friends and family members hugged each as they took their seats and it truly felt like a family reunion! The excitement grew as the processionals began, and finally everyone got to witness Jayda’s bright eyes sparkling in the sun as Ben let out a laugh of joy.

Genuine Emotion

Jayda & Ben truly reveled in every moment. As a wedding photographer, I feel it is always the enemy of any wedding day to see a bride or groom rushed or stressed, while the inverse truly sets the mood of the whole wedding day. These two are in love and they had fun. Ben’s many comedic interludes blended with the sincerity and depth of his vows. (And this blog post could not hold all the hilarious moments from groomsmen photos!) I absolutely love the last image I show here of Jayda & Ben’s vow reading – it’s just such a precious capture of their personalities! Jayda’s first look with her dad left me misty eyed… it is just so obvious that Jayda & Ben’s families provide such a steady current of trust.

Letter to the Couple

Jayda & Ben,

I am truly so thankful to the Lord that our paths crossed! You two are so grounded in faith, and I know having met your closest friends and family that you will overcome every challenge you face – together. It was an honor to witness your first look, to capture the shenanigans of the groomsmen, the sweetness of your bridal party, and the ways that you truly allowed your guests to see deeper into your relationship (with such artfully crafted speeches!). Witnessing your parents laying hands on you in prayer to bless your union was such a beautiful moment. Remember it. You are literally lifted up by their prayers.

Your best days are ahead of you! May you face them with the same alacrity as this beautiful day, the day you became husband & wife!
