In the skyline of Rochester, Sydney & Tyler’s wedding day unfolded with elegant flair at J.Powers Hilton Rochester. Blush tones and soft grays perfectly suited the cool tones of the city architecture in Rochester and the modern interior of J. Powers at the Hilton. Two traditions wove into one for this day. Blending the Jewish and Christian heritages, Sydney & Tyler’s beautiful day incorporated a chuppah altar, the stomping of the glass, a unity candle, and a joyful hora dance.

Regal and Royal

One of the most fun things I know about Sydney is her love for the English royals, and to no surprise, her day reflected that style. Sydney’s dress featured an off shoulder look with embroidery and lots of sparkle (her favorite!). There were so many personal touches to the day as well as sweet surprises shared between the couple. Sydney’s blush colors unified the day through florals, her bridesmaid’s Birdy Grey dresses, and her textured table linens.

Hilton Rochester Wedding Venue – the Perfect Urban Vibe

The Hilton Rochester Mayo is a wonderful wedding venue which provides multiple floors for wedding use. The ceremony was held in the ballroom and the reception on the floor above. A beautiful terrace allowed us to maximize photos with the Rochester skyline and the urban vibe. With high ceilings, modern chandeliers, and clean lines, the reception space offered elegant dining. High floral table centerpieces alternated with table vases to give an elevated yet cozy environment.  

Dancing was the order of the night! The hora was not the only dance to fill the floor – Sydney & Tyler’s guests jived to many songs with hardly room for one more couple! The night was fun, lighthearted, and invited everyone into the blast with a goofy photobooth, and the bride’s favorite… late night s’mores!

Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day! I am so thankful to know you and even more excited that you are MARRIED! Congratulations and may the many adventures that come your way ever draw you closer to each other. Hearing how well you both know each other from the mouths of your friends and family was truly a testament to the beauty of your union. You are both so unique and fun!

About the Venue

The Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area hotel is home to J.Powers events, which offers a ballroom style reception space, an outdoor terrace, and three levels of wedding guest access. Catering is provided through the venue as well as excellent service. A Hilton Rochester Wedding can host up to 400 guests and parking is available in the garage which connects to the venue.
