Mary & Ryan’s The Depot wedding brimmed with wonderfully bright florals and the prettiest shade of hot fuchsia! This urban reception paired with a Catholic nuptial mass at Our Lady of Grace in Edina, perfectly complimenting Mary & Ryan’s deep love for tradition, honor, and the beauty of the city.

Spring Wedding Colors

As the photographer, I really enjoyed styling Mary’s details. Her floral inspired invitations, created with Epitome Papers, featured a grand floral wreath of many colored blooms, and it was so cool to see the design come to life with the florals from Artemisia Studios! The MR monogram tied together the suite, and even made an appearance on the custom cookie favors baked by a family friend! I love that Mary & Ryan chose a vibrant color theme for their wedding because I think it paired so beautifully with the urban cityscape of the Depot.

Summer Patriotism

Mary’s family has always expressed such vibrant patriotism – so naturally, the flag had to make an appearance! Mary’s bridesmaids wore stars and stripes pjs and Ryan’s groomsmen Americana socks! The truly amazing connection is that Mary & Ryan’s wedding date also happened to be Flag Day! I loved giving this a nod in the invitation details with a vintage American flag stamp.

Letter to the Couple

Mary & Ryan,

Thank you so much for welcoming me into your family and friends. To be among your guests at cocktail hour felt like being at an epic family reunion. The way your guests erupted in a napkin rally upon your entrance spoke volumes into the steadfast character you both possess that touches so many. Your joy in the goodness of the simple things of life is so refreshing. And the zest you share in fully enjoying the moment is proved in your dance floor photos! May the Lord bless you and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you, and give you peace.
