With a desire to combine the ease of an elopement with a family and friend celebration, Lexi & Max landed on an intimate gathering of 30 guests. They selected the Sunken Gardens of the Como Zoo Conservatory as their venue for a stunning view and simple logistics.

Since the Sunken Gardens are available only before and after the opening hours to the public, the couple chose to use the morning to take advantage of dreamier light. This meant an early morning for myself, the beauty team, and the bride! But my oh my, was it worth it! Primped provided the perfect bridal look and Lexi glowed in her Watters gown! The back bow trailing to her train gave that sweet dash of elegance.

Lexi & Max are astounding musicians, and invited live musicians to fill the dome of the Sunken Gardens with sonorous strings. The Birchwood String Quartet performed all the ceremony music. Max himself arranged a quartet piece his bride’s entrance from the emotional song All I Ask of You by Andrew Lloyd Weber. This was such a special treat to hear!

The Como Zoo Sunken Gardens is available for wedding rentals which included access to the Palm Dome. Ten seated guests as well as additional standing guests are welcome into the lush space. The entrance to the venue is the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory steps.
