This Gardens of Castle Rock Wedding has a special place in my heart. Little did I know when I photographed Ryan’s senior photos that down the road I would get to photograph his sister’s wedding! I remember the day I met their family I wished I would see them again…and my wish came true! Britta & Dan accomplished the planning of their wedding in eight weeks. Yes, you read that correctly!

Lily of the Valley and The Little Things

My favorite parts of Britta & Dan’s wedding include every moment that Britta shared a deeper story behind elements of her day. After photographing her rings and wedding details, she mentioned to me how the lily of the valley stems had been hand picked from her grandmother’s land specially for the wedding – her mother’s favorite flower that also became one of her favorites.

Also, the moment she asked me about her blue shoes and I reassured her: YES, YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD have blue shoes on your wedding day! I personally love fun shoes (and definitely made a star of them in the detail photos!)

The Gardens of Castle Rock: the perfect outdoor space

I loved being a part of wedding morning and watching family and friends come together to decorate and contribute their hands to the beauty of the day. From the milk glass to the stunning bouquet, white tones mixed with the blues of bridesmaid dresses – such a fresh feel for the start to summer! I also must add – that glorious white tent sure makes it feel like a grand party!

I can’t say enough how glad I am that you decided to celebrate with a beautiful wedding! I am so happy for you, and so happy that you rolled up your sleeves to the task! Listening to the toasts it was so clear that your friends really have your back (with a dash of sass), that you are completely enfolded in each other’s families, and that every guest heartily cheers you on in your marriage.
