I am absolutely thrilled to write about Chloe & Taylor’s wedding at The Grand! This excitement came from the ashes of a devastating day in March. Just days before their wedding date, coronavirus forced The Grand to call with horrible, devastating news: there would be no wedding that Saturday. COViD-19 lockdowns began. The shock of such news came with no promise of a new wedding date, and it simply shook all of us. Thankfully that is not the end of the story!
The New Plan at The Grand
Chloe & Taylor did in fact marry in March. They didn’t let COViD stop them! But I am so blessed that they decided on an October day to keep their celebration! (I know from speaking to The Grand that they were elated too! It broke their hearts to have to cancel!) I heard so many times throughout the day how thankful family and friends were to celebrate with Chloe & Taylor. It could have been easier to skip the party altogether (instead of having to plan all over again!) This day focused on honoring and celebrating. Close friends and family brought so much fun to the mix!
Open Hearted
My favorite moments from Chloe & Taylor’s wedding involved the warmth and sweetness of the toasts. Seeing the tears and laughs abound, it was clear these two have let so many into the highs and lows of their marriage. Simple devotion of family members and friends brought me smiles. Shout out to those who helped bring sweet doggie Archie to husband & wife photos!
Chloe & Taylor,
You both possess such strength and depth of feeling. You both hold on to what truly matters in each other, and that is so beautiful. I can’t say enough how delighted your guests were to lift you up and to support you both. My hope is that these images bring back the joy of your special day, and that as Taylor leaves for National Guard duties that you can both find comfort in your covenant. You are one!
Yours joyfully,
Jennifer
