Olive Branch Farm August Wedding

Olive Branch Farm couldn’t have been more of a perfect venue for Haley & Zach’s wedding. Not only did the greenery on the cross altar perfectly match their invitation suite, but the owners are Gustavus friends of the couple! I also have a personal bias towards these two, because the wedding website they handcrafted (literally coded by themselves!) pairs perfectly with my own website in style and colors 🙂

Sage Elegance

Let me begin by reiterating how I personally love sage greens and gold tones! Haley’s bouquet was such a treat to photograph! Having seen Haley’s friends and sister on social media during celebration parties, it was so fun to see them in their glam! I knew something of Haley’s tastes after shooting their engagement session (where Haley’s blush dress stole my heart) but I was over the moon to see her in bridal glory. I wish I was a crier so I could have joined the genuine tears of joy. Yet, the most stunning fixtures of the day were not the decor, the dress, or even the perfect weather. The simple beauty of watching the sincerity in the reception hall did it for me. The first look took place in the Gustavus Adolphus arboretum – right where these two would sling their hammocks. Haley and Zach were able to be fully themselves amidst their friends and families. Haley is a gift-giver and seeing her lavish this upon everyone on her wedding day was magical. This sincerity is a gift I truly treasure.

In addition to their open hearts, Haley and Zach made their day feel so welcoming and fun. The bright red barn buzzed with happy guests all evening. (And how could they not with a root beer keg and s’mores roasting?!) Venues that offer ceremony and reception on the same site are so nice for guests! The dancing stayed lively with three generations joining in. Watching the little feet of the ring bearer and flower girl twirl about could have turned the meanest frown upside down.

Your days of swimming together at Gustavus now fold into a swimming together as one. You day was almost as beautiful as your sincere hearts. Many blessings upon your covenant and the joys, trials, and adventures ahead. I am so blessed to know you and hope you are thoroughly enjoying your honeymoon in Hawaii!!
