White lights lit up the dance floor as Carly took her father’s hand for their first dance. She leaned her head upon her dad’s chest as he held her tight and gently rocked her. As the guests crowded around to watch, the djay held up the mic to invite all fathers and daughter to the floor. Watching the young and old dancing together moved me so deeply. Oh, it really hit me! I’ve never been a crying sort of person at weddings – I’m just too happy for my couples. This time, the thought of my own 4.5 month-old daughter dancing with my husband overwhelmed me. What a sweet moment that every shared!

Carly & Josh’s Belle’s Event Center wedding was so full of personality & sweet touches. Not only did their doggies get to join the wedding party, but their lavender wedding colors were found in such unique places (hello, fun wedding shoes!)

There is nothing like a crisp fall day in an apple orchard. October’s sunshine radiated over the ceremony space as guests strolled in. This was a day of joyful families conversing, kids giggling as they found their place, and friends hugging each other in the aisle.

In addition to such a welcome atmosphere, Carly’s and Josh’s wedding party brought the fun! One of my favorite moments has to be during bridal party portraits when I asked Carly to look at her sister Katy and they both began tearing up. “I just can’t handle it! You’re just so cute!” her friends kept saying as Carly led her tears onto her finger. These bridesmaids were longtime friends ready to stand alongside their girl as her dreams came true: saying yes to Josh!
