Ever since I first met Allison & Zach, I’ve been blown away by their friendliness and grace towards me. This modern and classic JX Venue Wedding radiated with such joy! As the Maids of Honor mentioned, Allison is one of those people who simply embodies the merriment of the Christmas season. So fittingly, evergreens, pines, and white blooms had their debut in Allison’s gorgeous bouquet, ceremony decor, and reception centerpieces. I truly felt the coziness of Christmas!

The Power of Your People

As I entered the bridal suite in the morning, I instantly felt as if I had walked into a family living room. As I met each bridesmaid, I realized that feeling was accurate – every lady here was a Bennie! (colloquial term for “College of St. Benedict alum”) Even Zach’s sister was a Bennie! Of course, Allison & Zach had educated me a bit during our Caribou consultation about the magic of the Bennies and Johnnies. I had seen the surprise engagement party photos and so this wedding day was such a special window for me into their world. I knew that family mattered a lot to Allison and Zach as well, and I loved seeing the way they honored their kin. Zach’s grandfather prayed over their reception just as he prayed over their future marriage. Such an amazing family, and such strong ties!

Classic & Modern Christmas Details

To begin recounting the vision of the day, I must say how all the bridesmaids and myself were floored by Allison’s reveal. Her Alexandra Grecco gown featured a stunning silhouette, bateau neckline, and clean lines. I was floored. Together with her chapel length veil featuring pearl details, she was truly a vision. The pearls tied into her bridesmaid’s earrings as well as giving a nod to her grandmother’s necklace. AND THE SHOES! Allison, I cannot thank you enough for choosing shoes with such delicious bows!

Second to Allison’s beauty, can we all give Zach a hearty applause for his rocking of the ivory suit?! He crushed it. The black & white balance in wardrobe felt so artistic – notice how powerful the groomsmen’s black tuxes look against Zach’s ivory! Well done! The elegance paired perfectly with Zach’s fun personality. When the groomsmen pulled off the throwing the groom photo, the eruption of excitement was SO FUN to behold.
