Wedding Editorial with Malana Sophia Floral

Spring. Such a breathe of fresh air to us all. And JUNE! The loveliest spring month which features my favorite flower of all time: peonies! I knew I had to work with Malana Sophia Floral to harness the beauty of these spring blooms.

As I pondered my inspiration for this shoot, a friend spoke to me of the most beautiful white church in Nerstrand, Minnesota – nestled amongst the hills. Ever since that moment I sought to plan and coordinate a time to capture the beauty of bridal portraits on its grounds. Valley Grove Church stands with he regal nature of a well loved place of fellowship. I cannot say how glad I am that I pursued this vision! This day was a dream come true!

Malana Sophia Floral: Over the Top with Coral Crush Peonies!

I name every inspirational shoot that I create, and this one I crowned as “Peonies in Pastoral.” As I craft the color palette and the textures that I want to coordinate together, I usually ask myself to give language to the look. As you can see, peonies steal the heart of the bridal details. You can find them on the envelope insert as well – luscious and brimming with the hope of spring. Malana Sophia Floral brought a richness to the palette with coral crush peonies – the most vibrant flower I have ever laid eyes on! Together with the sunset tones of the sky, these colors absolutely transported me. I cannot thank the Lord enough for a slight cloudy sunset showcasing the glorious colors!

I had the privilege of working with Jenna from Letterland Studio, and oh my word! She absolutely went over the top with every detail. She is truly a creator of fine art. From the church design on the invitation to the curation of the perfect vintage stamps, the elegance sings.
