Friends, this Apple Valley wedding will make you smile! Angy & Mario crafted a day as stress-free and beautiful as they are themselves. You may remember their engagement session where I spoke highly of their ability to be chill. Well, this truth was proven again. Showing that once again, coronavirus can alter but not cancel beautiful weddings! So many guests were missed, as well as as Ricky, Angy & Mario’s adorable morkie. Christ Church really made the day smoothies, and it was the perfect venue for this intimate wedding!

The Perfect Petite Wedding

It might be hard to believe after scrolling through these images, but Angy & Mario’s wedding day took place all in late morning and a bit of afternoon! I offer what I call petite weddings – which include all my usual wedding photography in just four hours or less. I was so amazed by Angela’s many intelligent decisions to follow through with her goal of having a chill wedding day. First, she trusted me with the timeline of the day (and great was the reward! Detail shots without having them planned in!!) Second, she arrived at the church with hair and makeup complete. Third, Angy & Mario left a small window (literally 20 minutes!) for husband & wife portraits after their ceremony, and again entrusted me to find a good location! I couldn’t be happier with your images, and I’m so glad you weren’t exhausted after your day!

Favorite Wedding Moments

My favorite moment in Angy & Mario’s day was their recession down the aisle – when they surprised everyone with some dance moves! “I feel nice…like sugar and spice…” echoed as the guests and I smiled. Angy & Mario are just like that. Warm, full of fun, and always ready to add a little zest to the mix. My second favorite? When Mario turned and saw his bride for the first time– because of Angy’s smile! It’s simply amazing how you can see someone with whole new eyes–even one you know so well!
